passivehouses in the sky
In the context of climate change becoming increasingly clear, the vision of „passivehouses in the sky … upon a natural urban landscape “ shows the compatibility between sustainability and metropolitan life comfort. An architectural structure that reduces the CO2 emissions drastically, consumes less energy than it produces and provides the needs of people for a better living and working space.
The Passive House concept optimizes the building, the principles of urban landscapes complement and optimize the urban structures.
In times of climate change the natural urban landscape is not the vision of Noah’s Ark. The concept includes all citizens and wants to be an enrichment of our metropoles. Together with the passive house and the natural urban landscape we want to go to the heart of the metropolis and want to give a new impetus to counter climate change. We want to use the potential of nature and minimize human intervention in natural processes.
„passivehouses in the sky … upon a natural urban landscape” will bring technic, design and nature in harmony.
Architectural and Urban Structures:
A moved urban landscape in the form of ascending and descending hills creates a network of well-defined places and ways. The natural urban landscape is greened and accessible, vertically towering, angular monoliths refer to each other, rest on it. Point blocks with their height mark the urban space and the main squares. All buildings are ideally placed to each other. About gangways, they can contact each other. They are grouped together for not to shade each other.
Mobility:
The Urban traffic works here without motorization and energy from fossil fuels. The neighbourhood is accessible by an underground metro. Among themselves, the buildings are connected by glass walkways. In the houses there are lifts, escalators, stairs and ramps. People are moving in the natural urban landscape on its own and thus keep healthy and fit.
Natural Urban Landscape:
Outside the building, the climate is determined by planting that lower the CO2 content in the air. Each building has open skygardens distributed in the building. These green areas will contribute to stabilize the climatic conditions in the city. They also act as an air filter for fresh air needed by the building ventilation. Through the widespread passive heating and cooling of buildings, the use of air condition is minimized. The required heating is effected by the heat pump cooling by solar supporting adaptive cooling.
Passivehouse:
The technical equivalent in the building of the natural urban landscape is the passive house design. The degree of passive use of resources is the key to building structures. Concerning building shell, structural, building services and transparent surface aggregates. Only when the structure of the building is significantly influenced sustainability is possible.
All buildings are built in passive house design. An intelligent design, the passive house standard can be made cost-neutral, sustainable energy savings. It is the design of the future.
Energy self-sufficiency:
Life in the Passive House landscape is energy self-sufficient. An intelligent design, building insulation, controlled ventilation saves energy. Required energy is obtained from the Sun: geothermal energy for heating in winter and for cooling in summer. Air conditioners are in the passive house landscape no longer necessary. About solar panels that are mounted on the facade and on the roofs needed water is heated. Current is produced through photovoltaic panels in the facade and used for the energy demand in buildings.
